EBRD grants to BC „Moldindconbank” S.A. the second energy efficiency credit (MoSEFF II) in the amount of 2,5 mil EURO, for financing of investments projects in energy efficiency of companies from Moldova. The respective credit is a part of the Moldovan Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (MoSEFF) launched in 2010.

The EBRD resources will be used for financing such kind of investments as substitution of old/used equipment, renewal and replacement of boilers, meters installation, thermal isolation, renewal of thermal and energetic distribution systems, solar energy, biogas and others.

The facility will allow the Bank to grant credits up to 2 mln EUR to private companies from Moldova. The borrowers will benefit from Investment incentives from EU NIF and EU TACIS, up to 10-20 percent from the value of the credit upon success completion of projects. The amount of investment incentives will depend on the technological and energetic economy reached at the end of the project. Additionally, the companies will benefit from free technical assistance for the estimation of the energy efficiency potential and for project implementation.
